Born, January 21st, 1981 - Brooklyn New York.

Zims creative abilities began with the love for music and art.

​

As a youth, his mother would often play songs of choirs, and gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Take 6, and more. She would often expose him to Gospel Concerts from state to state. Later, as an early teen... Exposure to 70s music; the classical tones of Marvin Gaye, along with the outlandish sounds of Jimmy Hendricks, epic Michael Jackson, and jammin' to James Brown. It wasn't until Zims late teens when he became interested in rap groups, and artist from the late 80's and 90's, like 2Pac, Biggie, Nas, Wu-Tang, Rahkim, Jay Z, Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, and many more.

At a the age of 16, he moved with family to Richmond Va, where he began to write poetry while listening to rap songs. Later his interest in poetry sparked an interest in writing songs and playing instruments.

Soon he taught himself to play the piano, guitar, and drums... Later acquiring hardware and software, and becoming a self-learned Studio Engineer. In 2006 he began to record himself in his parents kitchen.

SInce his Kitchen Cookin' days, ZIm Digital added a Guitar to his ability to create new and cutting edge music, and began to refine his talents.

He studio facility was built "zdb4artStudios" where his label "True Fact Music"; has been responsible for Artist Development, Marketing, Advertisement, Video Production, Editing, Graphic Design, Web Design, and Sole Registrar for all Music. Zim is driven with a focused vision, and a solid plan. Now he's ready to take both the digital and physical worlds by storm.
